Hi everyone,
I currently live with my girlfriend. She is a 26 year old student about 1 and half years into her nursing training. I up until May this year was working for a company earning just under £25k a year. In May I lost my job. I have since got a job that pays just under £16k. She gets £500 a month bursary. We have a house and mortgage costs have shot up since we first bought it over 3 years ago. I'm getting a discount on my council tax as she's a student but things are really tight and we are really struggling. Is there anything else that can help us?
Thanks for taking the time to read this and for any advice you can offer.

I think you are asking about working tax credits. With your joint income I do not think you would qualify but you could use the following to check :

Will have to have a look at that then. Thanks.0
