The Legal Complaints Service (LCS) investigates complaints about solicitors. We handle over 300 calls a day on a range of legal complaints. We have a dedicated staff of 390 helping you to resolve your complaint.

    And

    Professional misconduct: What is it?

Solicitors must keep to 'rules of conduct'. If your solicitor breaks these rules, there may have been misconduct.

Some examples of possible misconduct are as follows
    • your solicitor keeps money that belongs to you
    • your solicitor can't account properly for money they owe you
    • your solicitor also acts for a client whose interests clash with yours (this is called a 'conflict of interest')
    • your solicitor releases confidential information about you without your permission
    • your solicitor discriminates against you because of your race, religion, sex, sexuality, disability or age
    • your solicitor does not supervise a member of their staff properly and who is responsible for misconduct themselves
If you think your solicitor may have broken a rule we will take this into account when considering your complaint. In some cases we will consider the issues along with the service you received. If we think the issues could be serious, we will pass information to the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA)

But isn't the simple solution just to go bankrupt, rather than getting into years of complaints and lawsuits?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?
  • This is the reality of Gordon Browns "miracle economy" - it is an utter sham.

I have been villified for the last 5 years every time that I raised my concerns, with people not wanting to hear it and instead to believe that they could get rich by doing nothing except borrowing huge amounts of money.

I almost feel compelled to laugh now at people like stuffedbywimpey for not heeding the warnings and using some common sense, but alas the problem is far worse than your wimpy problem.

The route that GB has allowed the markets to take has bankrupted the country - in 12 months time most people will be out of work, food will cost an insane amount of money, and people will be prepared to kill one another over a bag of potatos.

Inflationary depression followed by hyper inflation is what awaits us, and then a one World currency based on computer credits from a central location and a microchip in your hand to store the information on.

Laugh all you like, I've been right so far & this is the ultimate agenda - they actually tried it in 1943, a Canadian Politician warned the World of the what it really meant, and 3 weeks later he was dead.

    Buy gold.

Aside from the natural aversion that people have from going bankrupt at the first sign of trouble:

    a) it may not be necessary if Wimpey don't force the issue once they realise they can't get blood out of a stone;

    b) it is too early to go bankrupt in this case. Wimpey haven't forced OP to pay up yet. If he went bankrupt now, the debt (if it gets realised) could be seen to be occuring after bankruptcy.
