Well, I completed my 8 car jobs with ease today.

Entered first place at around 9.30 ish, left last one at around 4.30.

Last one was a no shop really, as I guess someone at BARE ballsed up and either sent me to right right dealership for the wrong car or to the wrong dealership for the right car, if that makes sense. I'm still going to report on it I think, and I've taken pictures to prove I did actually visit.

Quickest visit was less than 15 minutes, unusually a female sales..erm...man, but she was very good hence the speed of negotiations and completion of visit.

well done. thanks to the inefficiency of staff at two dealers.. i only managed 6... i have to make a return trip today now for the other three.

one place couldnt see me despite waiting 15 mins, I had another next door so went and did that then came back aand they still couldnt see me as there were four groups of people waiting to be seen... so much for a recession...
another one pleace refused to give a discount unless i signed agreeing that I was happy to pay full price. and then the manager may authorise a discount after !!!!!!:eek: was a ball ache writing the report for that one, but i certainly wont be buying my next car from them although I actually quite liked the car... given they kept me waiting 25 minutes after the initial consultation to tell me no discount i certainly had enough time to study it !!

what was the balls up by bar ? pm me if you want

The balls up was that they sent me to the wrong dealership it seems, it's in my post bove.

I was kept waiting a long time at one, noone apologised, so i sorta had a go at them and said "look, I wanna buy a car, does anyone here actually wanna sell me one or what?" it did the trick and I was seen straight away!

Retail Eyes: I know your lurking.

Please make your validation rules actually effective. Don't give me a 20 character box for a name. Don't give me a 20 character if you want to know how many customers were in a store. Don't give a one line text field and expect me to give you a well formed answer to your "WHY?" question. Don't give me a frickin' huge box right at the start of a questionnaire asking me to give a detailed summary and then ask me 6 pages of questions on the same. If you do want a story put it at the end. I'd feel less daunted to do provide you with the information.

    /rand mode off.

And to the RE lady I spoke to yesterday: You were very polite and helpful :)

GR really get at me, I did my first report for them yesterday, and they on several occasions gave me 255 characters to answer a WHY question, or to describe exactly what phones and plans I was offered (it was a mobile phone shop). It is impossible to tell them the three different plans and phone combinations you were offered in 255 characters!!!

Quick question If you were asked "What was the highlight of the visit?" Would you put "leaving".

That's another good one. I hate it when you want to put some constructive and useful information and restricted by something as stupid as 255 characters. 255 characters is the character limit of a field in database software and has nothing to do with retail servicing.

All you mystery shopping companies, please tell your IT bods to use Memo or 'varchar'... just give us a big field!

Yeah, I understand why the limit is 255, but of course as you say there are ways to get around it. In one instance, they'd put a list of three things they wanted me to say (something like describe the service, say why its good/bad, and comment on how it could be improved), all in 255 characters. Was so tempted to use 'txt spk' or something just to make a point, but decided they wouldn't like that!
