The Mystery Shopping thread - part 6

I guess there are different ones from the sound of it, but the 2 that were showing for S Yorks were definitely, where you had to pawn some jewelery at a pawn shop. There's one still on there for "HB" in S Yorks and you have to pawn some jewelery.
All I was saying was a word of warning as whoever posted about these ones in S Yorks originally, obviously didn't read the brief before they posted. As a pawning some jewelery would be a whole different scenario to an ordinary jewelers.
The ones in S.Yorks did NOT involve pawning jewellery. One was a purchase, the other was using one of their financial services (they do pay day advances, cheque cashing etc). I read the briefs for them thoroughly at least twice (as I'm new to all this).0 -

Not sure where you are, but someone mentioned jewelery jobs in S Yorks on the alerts thread, but it's actually for a couple of pawn shops and you have to take something in to pawn - so just make sure you read the brief fully, as it might not be just a straightfoward jewelery shop

Compingirl wrote: »Hi I posted that there were Jewellery shops on RE. I did read the brief, twice actually, and there were 4 jobs listed, neither involved pawning anything. I thought the idea was to alert people to the fact new jobs were listed, its up to the individual to read the brief and decide if the jobs for them or not. Sorry if the post was misleading.

I completely agree with you compingirl - the idea of the alerts thread is surely to alert people that there are jobs released. It's against MSing companies' Ts and Cs for one to divulge information anyway so it's possibly a question of where does one draw the line?
If you'd have said Jewellery shop (which you did), it's enough detail for someone to log on and read the brief and get the job. If you'd have elaborated, the person accepting the job would surely still check the brief for other things such as whether they can take kids, how much they have to spend etc.
There's also the factor that if you spent 3 minutes writing up the alert brief (:rotfl: ) then that's 3 minutes everyone else gets to accept the job before subscribers to the alerts thread do.0
