WHOOHOO! Just logged into RE and got my first job! There were two offers, both for a local chain of Jewellers so I've taken one of those - £15 fee! Happy days!

I'm sooo happy, but I've no idea how I'm gonna remember all the Q&A's!

Not sure where you are, but someone mentioned jewelery jobs in S Yorks on the alerts thread, but it's actually for a couple of pawn shops and you have to take something in to pawn - so just make sure you read the brief fully, as it might not be just a straightfoward jewelery shop.

How do they decide who's for the chop anyway??

I remember Tractorgirl saying she thought she was sacked from doing too many jobs for them, (not sure how many) but have to say I must be nearly in triple figures with them, so guess my days are numbered!

I've done loads of shops for Gap too. Aside from the phone call thing I've found them generally ok too. I don't go out of my way to shop for them, I'll only do a shop if I know I've got to pass the site anyway that day or I've got other shops booked in the area. I do think their questionnaire's are pretty dire to complete.

Even though I'm registered with loads of companies, I still get more work from Gap than anyone else so I'd really rather not lose them...a proper love hate relationship!

As for Grassroots...it is a pretty much first come first served I'm constantly checking the different sites and it's happened where by the time I clicked a job it was gone. I guess all we can do is to keep trying. It seems to me by the time their email gets to me the job is long gone, so like you I check the site all the time.

The thing is as I pointed out to their team is that I dont even get any email alerts saying that there are jobs ! I live near Birmingham (UKs second city) so dont believe they dont have any clients there... I guess they just dont want me to do any lol

ill still keep looking though and who knows...
although if my video assignments take off i can say good bye to gap and grass roots 1

I ve had arches assignments taken off me for rotation reasons apparently and they can celled 6 visits i had booked including one the next day. I can still do other work but who knows, maybe the arches didnt like my reports, all factually correct and some outstanding stores however quite a few that need to improve. Thing is I dont think they have any one to cover the jobs as they are always still sitting there when i look lol:rotfl:

I've been registered with them for years. You get nothing for ages, then all of a sudden you get a few jobs in quick succession (well if you are quick enough to grab them you do!), then nothing for months again
Here I go again on my own....

That's the one, the person on the alerts thread clearly didn't read the brief. :embarasse:embarasse

I have to make a purchase, enough said ;-)

Did someone once mention doing gap audits? I just can't find the post. Can anyone help?

Gap used to do audits on one of the petrol retailers, but I've no idea if they still do them or not.
