  • On the subject of excel (here comes the numpty question!) Is anyone out there familiar with Numbers on the Mac?

Can I get it to automatically total my columns? Can I insert horizontal lines, say if I missed out a job and want to insert it in the correct chronological place?

Having been lurking for a while, I thought I'd better join up and contribute - although my first post is a question!

I have recently registered with tns, and have 3 jobs assigned - can anyone tell me when they send out the work packs? The jobs aren't until next month, and I'm presuming they'll send me stuff about a week before the due date...?

Eeeek! I think I said something and it came out the wrong way. Sorry! I didn't think you had ever worked for any company you were now MSing, nor that you had an axe to grind. And I certainly didn't think you were sick. Sorry if that's what came across. I was just pondering why anyone would lie on a report, when there are so many checks in place, and my mind went down a strange route, as it is wont to do.

    Huge apologies FE!

Oh, I know you weren't accusing me but just thought I'd say in general that in my case, I am not such a person. :D

Yes, a few days to a week before. Actually I had one where I only got the notes the day before, but I think that was unusual.

Many thanks SC - I won't start fretting yet then... I much prefer the Gfk way of getting the details straight away.

    Hi Kman :)
you should get your work pact sent about a week or so before the date, as soon as you receive the link, make sure you download it or they will email you to tell you to :)

You have read the first post haven't you

Yes I have blindman and I read the bit about the excel spreadsheet but as I have no experience what so ever of being self employed I am at a total loss as what to put in it!!
Apart from the obvious, Date/Where/Expenses. Thats about it.

I've just had a text for 'Service Measure' asking me to do a restaurant visit. I can't for the life of me remember applying to them, but I did go through a phase of applying to everyone and anyone. Just wondering if anyone's done any work for them and to make sure they're ok.

    Cheers,
    FF

I got a text from them a couple of weeks ago and by time I text back the job had gone but they did put me down for the same job which I am doing in November. I couldn’t remember applying but they have sent me all the briefing notes to my email address so it must have been when I was applying for loads.

It would be great to hear from anyone else who works for this company and if they pay you quickly. It says they process payment on the Monday after you send them your receipt.

I meant the first post has TAX details etc, so that would be a good place to start.
