No pharmacy or pubs showing for me when I check available assignments, but as soon as I go into "search for assignments" - bingo, they all pop up! Have you tried the search function?

Yes I only really use the search function - I can see some if I check other places so someone just beat me to it!!

(She could have told me I was on a 12 month membership as this is the only membership this particular gym do, but she didn't).
The brief did explain this rather well I thought  Did you read it:confused:
I was told by the chap that inducted me that all I had to do was give one month's written notice, which is what I was intending to do.
Unless you can prove this you've no hope
What I was told was that if I joined in July, I would not be able to cancel until next July.
It's in the T&C's of the contract you signed...
    As you found out below.
I was told to read my membership details. I went home and looked at the photocopy as the original had to be sent off to RE. It did actually say I was a member until the end of July 2009. ***
I've had a little Google about this particular gym and they are well known for ripping people off using the above scenario.
Those reports are from people who do not read the T&C's of the ANNUAL membership.
The thing is in the brief for these visits, it actually stated sign up, it did not say trawl through all the details in detail.
I would say that is IMPERATIVE with Msing and life in general:confused:
    When I signed the contract,
Can anyone shed some advice on this.
READ a contract before you sign it
READ the mystery shopping brief fully.
I want to pull out asap. Is it my fault for not reading the paperwork properly?

    Definitely.

Is the chap that inducted me responsible as I was given the wrong information?
    No it's your fault
Are RE jointly responsible for not making it clear in the brief that if you do not cancel you will be required to stay on for a 12 month persion?
    No it's your fault

    Eeeek! HELP!
Plus I think one or two of the personal instructors know I was the mystery member.
You do not seem to be good at this Ms thing:confused:

The RE brief was very clear ( I thought)

The T&C's for gym were clear.

Really? What brief did you get? The one I printed off did not say anything about this being a 12 month contract at all. I felt it was very brief, did not have much information and that's why I had to call RE about 10 times. And as for being inducted at the gym, I felt the member of staff was just getting me to sign the contract asap and I put this all in my report. The brief said you were meant to ask one question to get the member of staff to try and sell you the membership which I did. *** Maybe you are right and I am not good at this MS thing, that's why TNS/RE/GAP/RM are always calling me asking me to do urgent last minute visits. Must be cos I'm soooo bad at MS!

IMHO the RE gym job was easy and the brief told you it would be a 12 month contract.

The contract you signed at the gym was an annual one. To cancel you had to give three months notice. viz at the 9 month period (remember that for your circumstances) you cancel the 12 month contract.

To be a good Ms agent you need to read and understand the briefs thoroughly.
Also the employees of the place you are Msing should not know what you are doing.

Hopefully the TNS\Gap jobs etc are simple.

I did not have to call RE at all for the gym job. Maybe I was the only one to understand the job?

    BIG Tip
If you ever sign a contract-read it first, especially the bit about cancellation.

Can anyone please confirm that Pizza ones on RE you just need a note of the receipt number and not to scan it in as my scanner has decided to stop working. Thanks

I normally just take a pic with either my mobile or camera and upload it onto the comp. Can you do that or is your receipt to big?

I always do search because not only do I travel a lot so look in various cities, but when I click AVAILABLE it comes up with London and Kent when I live in Liverpool so completely pointless.
