Brake Warning Light on Dashboard

Buy the parts from somewhere like here - http://www.gsfcarparts.com/
Then get a local or recommended mechanic from friends/family to do the work. Last year when I had my bmw 323 ci - front & rear pads, rear discs and a wheel bearing were replaced, my mechanic guy charge £100 labour. The brake sensor can easily be broken during replacement but the mechanic didn't break any so I didn't have to spend more money.0 -
Strange thing is on one quote it said they couldn't assess the rear discs but as they looked a bit rusty.....
This sounds like the guy inspecting them hasn't a clue about what he's doing. Not sure why you took it to nationwide when you know they're on commission, however if that price is for all 4 wheels then it doesn't seem too bad compared to the other quotes mentioned here.
I'd still get a quote from an independent garage though (i.e. "Joe Bloggs Motors Ltd- BMW & Audi specialists" etc.)0 -
do not take it to kwick fit or anysuch outlet - they are all on comission and will fleece you
Take it to your local garage that seems busy0
