Tv Sockets I

I am renovating my house and wondered whether or not you needed tv sockets nowadays??? At my current house we don’t actually have an aerial just watch tv through sky, but wondered whether I needed them in the new house??? Cheers

    would still install one just in case you ever require one.
    esp since it would cost so little.

    I agree, its not going to cost much to run the cables in and gives you some flexibility and if you move its a nice feature to help sell. If you install a double drop in the room where your sky/cable etc is situated you can send a signal up to a distributer in the attic and distribute through the house.
    You dont have to fit the aerial if you dont intend to use the sockets, just terminate them in a location where you could connect them up to an aerial in the future if you choose to.

    Nice to have, cheap to install. You do not have to use them, but someone later on might appreciate them.
    I can afford anything that I want.
    Just so long as I don't want much.
  • I would fit aerial sockets, could fit ones that also have a satellite socket also to keep a sat cable hidden.
