Meter readings after changing supplier
Comments

BG will provide NP with readings so you should call your new supplier on the day you switch over and give them the readings.0

The normal procedure is that your new supplier (in this case BG) asks you to give them the meter readings on the day they take over your supply.i recently moved my electricity from N power to BG, will BG automitcally obtain readings from N power? I mean i want my readings to be accurate, and i dont want to be paying extra after change over
They then pass the readings to your old supplier (npower) who produce a final bill from those readings.
Sometimes the old supplier rings you for a meter reading but that is only a ploy to talk to you and try and persuade you to stay with them.
Have BG actually taken over your supply yet, if s o you should already have given them meter readings.0 -
Yes (usually). The opening reading you give to your new supplier will be passed back to the previous supplier for them to calculate their final bill.0
