I signed up to an AOL home phone and broadband package last year to get a free laptop! I chose the phone pay as you call package as this was the cheapest at £19.99 per month and i NEVER make phone calls at home. I dont even have a phone plugged into the phoneline it is there just for the internet.
However for last few months AOL has been charging me for calls made from my number. they are insisting that the calls have been made from my house even though i know this is impossible because as i said i dont even have a phone plugged into the line. How can i prove the calls weren't made from my house??? any ideas? has anyone had the same problem??

why don't you check your AOL Talk bill (available online - you should get a monthly e-mail with a hyperlink to it) and see what numbers have been called? If they are not familiar to you then you know to delve deeper but if they are then perhaps you have a sneaky gremlin (kids? lodgers?) that is plugging in a phone when you're not looking!0
