I have a small 1 bed flat that only has electric supply. I need to update the heating and hot water system. I am looking for something that is easily controlable and effecient. Any suggestions.

All electric heaters are 100% efficient (ie all electricity put into them comes out as heat). It is an expensive method of heating though, so my preference would be for something responsive like a convector with thermostat. You can then use it just as little as you need.
Some have timers so you can set it to come on 20 minutes before you get up just to take the chill off the room.Signature on holiday for two weeks0 -
I have been looking at thermostatically controlled electric radiators and instantaneous water heater. Out most of the day, so I don't need storage heaters throwing out heat during the day, or a tankful of hot water. Also want something that looks modern.0
