CrazyJamie - where is the right click button on your Mac?? My Mac eject system seems to vary each time I eject. I use CommandE, or choose eject from pull down menu, or use the top right hand eject key, or drag the icon into trash -or a combination of all, and always seem to get, after pulling out the usb, a message saying it's not been properly ejected - but I've never lost data..0

I have a standard USB mouse (as opposed to an Apple one), so I literally just right click on the icon on the desk top.geoffholman wrote: »CrazyJamie - where is the right click button on your Mac?? Macbook is Ctrl click. Or, in the finder there is an eject arrow shown next to the device in use. There will also be an eject symbol in the pop up dock that you can drag the icon down to.0 -
True. It appears over the trash icon when you select and hold something that can be ejected.pulliptears wrote: »There will also be an eject symbol in the pop up dock that you can drag the icon down to."MIND IF I USE YOUR PHONE? The last time a cheap USB mem stick was recommended I ordered one (I think it was a no brand one from Play). The first one I received was dead, sent it back, got a new one, also dead.
Maybe this will be better as its a name brand but I think I'll steer clear for now. As ppl have said they will continue to come down in price. Don't buy it unless you actually need it. 4GB is way more than most ppl will use anyway.0 -

I save database at work to USB stick regularly, and just pull it out. It's always been OK and I didn't know it could fail. When daughter did thesis for Uni, in addition to usual places to save it, she e-mailed it to me and to her own e-mail address so it would sit on the providers' servers, which hopefully won't fail. Will order USB stick for myself as I still work with floppy disks!!! or hope for the best with larger stuff. 0
