Hi, don't know if I am imagining this, but when I used to open the chat forum, the posts I hadn't looked at before were in bold. Now some are in bold, but others I havn't looked at are normal.
I'm sure it used to take to the page I was last looking at as well but it doesn't do that now. eg the pigsback post has 58 pages on it, it used to take me to where i was, now it takes me to page 1.
Any idea's?

I'm accessing it from home, on the same pc as before.
Thanks,

I think the bold text dissapears after a while, a kind of timeout,
whether you have or havenot read a post...0 -

Have you cleared your cache between sessions? As this is usually the reason this sort of thing happens. You clear your cache, thus deleting the cookie that informs your browser where you once were on the site.It could have been worse. At least source code's not combustible, or you can bet somebody at McAfee would have lit it.0 -
https://www.ccleaner.com Highly reccomended for
clearing the cache in FireFox and IE0 -

Mine does this too.
It shows some in bold but not all, even when I haven't read them. Even my subscribed threads aren't bold when someone else has replied, but only sometimes. Like Intel says, mine seem to 'time out' after an hour or so
I run CCleaner quite regularly and I've messed about with my cookies but the bold thing is still very hit and miss for me.
Sorry I can't help but it's nice to know that you're not alone eh?
Just run, run and keep on running!0 -
Thanks everyone, I thought I was imagining it. At least I know it's not just me or some setting somewhere. I'll try the cleaner intel, thanks.

There is a setting in vBulletin that allows the Forum Admins to set a time of in-activaty. I think this can be any time, (e.g. 1 minute, 5 minutes etc.). Anyway, when you don't click a link on the forum for this amount of time, it will mark all of your posts read, thus not appearing in bold.intel wrote:I think the bold text dissapears after a while, a kind of timeout,

Snippet from vBulletin manual:tigermatt wrote:There is a setting in vBulletin that allows the Forum Admins to set a time of in-activaty. I think this can be any time, (e.g. 1 minute, 5 minutes etc.). 1) Inactivity/Cookie Based - once a user has been inactive for a certain amount of time (the value of the cookie timeout option) all threads and forums are considered read. Individual threads are marked as read within a session via cookies. This option is how all versions of vBulletin before 3.5 functioned...
