I bought the BBCs PLANET EARTH on bluray a while back. Its absolutely awesome to watch
So I thought id buy my dad the dvd set (he doesnt have bluray) for chrimbo
So I left it running on disc 1 just to make sure it was fine. When I went back to check on it, I saw a helicopter I hadnt seen in MY version!
It seems the dvd has extras on that the bluray doesnt! !!!!!!
Whats THAT all about?
I mean yeah, Id go for picture quality over extras anyday, but thats not the point......

is it the amount of data that can be stored on a standard dvd compared to a bluray? therefore ommitting the extras because of space?"Well, that sounds like a pretty good deal. But I think I got a better one. How about I give you the finger, and you give me my phone call"

If they used a single density bluray then yes. But theres NOTHING stopping them from using a dual density (50gig) disc. Basically it looks like theyve skimped:idea:0

well that sucks then, it might be that they want to re release it later, with the extras on to increase its saleablility in the future. Like they do with most things, Im pretty sick of buying box sets to find they make another film years down the line. Did it with Indian jones, I bought it thinking great there will be no more films so im sorted. How wrong was I!!!"Well, that sounds like a pretty good deal. But I think I got a better one. Well, don't bother with the last Indiana Jones film, it's an insult to the trilogy..0
