Hi,
Our car battery ran out a few months ago, we got it replaced, but the car radio needs the 'code' to work again. Problem is - we can't find the code anywhere. I phoned the original car dealer (Nissan) and they said they would charge £25 for the code - they searched their computer system but said they don't have one for it. It is a P reg Nissan Micra. Am I best to buy a new car radio? Or should I take it to a specialist car audio shop (one in town) and pay for unlocking? Any advice would be great thanks! Can't stand silent car journeys anymore!

Funny you have experienced this, as I was in ths same postition exactly last week, with the exception mine is a R reg micra. Having done all the necessary research, I paid £18.00 to get my code unlocked. I took it to a local car audio place. Shop around, looking and ringing from yellow pages. Prices vary from £15 - £25. Easier than taking it to Nissan's. It is also done in one hour, but depends where you take it. They will also give you a new code for you to keep for future.
Hope this helps, Farida.0 -
Thanks very much! There is a place not too far away, I'll give them a call asap! Are we still waiting to sing as hummingbirds?0
