Equity markets up, down, where?

Well, we've seen the announcement from Sarkozy, and the accounting rules are being changed so the banks can be declared solvent - probably thereby creating a giant Ponzi scheme, but it's better than letting them go down.

There's also a guarantee on new bank debt, but the old debts are not guaranteed.

All this still to be ratified by the EEC, and nothing useful over the weekend from the USA.

Far East markets are due to open in around 3 hours, so what do you think they will do? Please vote and/or leave comments below.
