Thanks for all your help yesterday. Have just begun to type letters to let creditors know that we are no longer in a position to pay, my biggest one being HSBC but I can't find an address on their website to send the letters to (have loan, credit card and overdraft with them) am I just being really daft there must be an address somewhere. Also CCCS advised us to send token payment, how much should this be and do I send it with the letter?
Many thanks again

You will probably find that each bit has a different address. You can usually find the address on the paperwork.
Make sure it is the same per creditor, a £1 should do it. Are you looking at going BR quite quickly or will it be 5 or 6 months?BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
Try this address
8 CANADA SQUARE
LONDON
E14 5HQ
Its the only one i could find
If you planning on going BR then you can send a token payment of, say £1, but you must send it to ALL of your creditors.
To be honest, its a waste of time and money. They'll still come hounding you and you'll achieve nothing. Best to save your £1's and use them towards your BR costs.

Thank you so much it amazes me how quick people reply, I hope I will be able to do the same soon.
I'm not sure when we will go br as not had our phone consultation with CCCS its booked for 20th October, however from filling in their online debt form I think this is our only solution. CCCS advised us to stop paying straight away and not get into anymore debt so have cancelled all non-priorty dd's and am currently transferring priority ones to a basic account. Just started writing my letters tonight. I keep going from feeling relieved that we are doing something about it to feeling completely scared about whats to come. Husband is still burying his head in the sand although it was him the made the phone call originally, so will probably need lots of advice and support through the next few weeks and months.
Thank you so much0 -
Just looked through my paperwork and that 8 Canada Square is the only address I can find. So shall I just send all letters to them, should I perhaps put loan department etc before the address?0

Yeah if thats the only address you have.
Have you booked your court date/found out if its a drop in service, I booked my Court date the same day i arranged my CCCS appointment, as I pretty much new BC was the outcome. It timed very well, one week after the CCCS interview."Well, that sounds like a pretty good deal. But I think I got a better one. How about I give you the finger, and you give me my phone call"

Hi Jammie,
As regards the CC bill they usually send a pre addressed envelope or at least an address on the statement

I dont think it matters as its still your debt.
You can always cancel any court appointment you make so its not written in stone."Well, that sounds like a pretty good deal. But I think I got a better one. How about I give you the finger, and you give me my phone call"
