  • Without playing at doctors it's known as "Depersonalisation or Derealisation". Invariably brought on by anxiety or acute stress-worry. What you describe fits. It's like being in a dream world. You are conscious of what is around you but somehow don't feel part of it.

Not to worry, (no pun intended) it will slowly go away.

Here's a mini example. Ever gone through a set of lights and then wondered whether you went through them on red or green - even though your brain knows you did the right thing?

That will be three fresh kippers please.

Jokes aside, I had the same feelings for six months after many years of built up trauma.

Good Luck And I Hope You Feel Well Soon.

ive been going through a stressful time but its actually helped me alot the past week. past year or so the stress has made me forget small things or just not had the time for them. since sunday people have been talking on the tv/radio about the icelandic banks going bust and i was oblivious to it all. then on thursday it dawned on me that half my life savings is in kaupthing edge and remembered it was icelandic. so i rushed onto this site and by thursday ING had already took them over. if i had remembered sunday i think i would been very down to say the least!

just goes to show. ignorance is bliss!
