maxtor are quite a well known HD maker....so have no worries
but you may find them a little cheaper here(very good website for ordering pc parts)......just watch the postage costs

I've only ever been wrong once! and that was when I thought I was wrong but I was right0 -
Don't buy Maxtor - that's the best advice you will find in this thread.
Maxtor are a well known make of HD, just like Indesit is a well know make of washing machine - but both are pretty much bottom ends of the market, in terms of quality and life expectancy.
Western Digital is a much less riskier gamble.
Look at the average rating for Maxtor vs WD drives: http://zencorpmd.com/category/9078383241/1/External-Hard-Drives.htmEverybody is equal; However some are more equal than others.0 -
cheers for the comments and links.don't get me started on Indesit......0
