I have been after one of these for years, they are great fun. Normally you sprinkle a little salt on the surface and cook tiny bits of meat.
A friend had one and it was great except I'm told the stones are prone to cracking..0 -
It might sound daft, but I've bought two of these things. When I asked at aldi what fuel to use in the burners, no one knew!!
When I asked at my hardware store, the guy said "it might be meths, but that would stink!"
What do I use???0 -
I have been to that restaurant in Poole great food! also this reminds me of Portugal, we ate "steak on a stone" on the Algave..mmmmmmmmmmmmm!!0

You use meths (just like a fondue burner) -- and it doesn't stink.keithy-baby wrote:It might sound daft, but I've bought two of these things. When I asked at aldi what fuel to use in the burners, no one knew!!

Bought one of these in Belgium last year. There is a special gel you buy for the burners. Never seen it anywhere here though.0
