I think it might be worth doing your SOA again and splitting the figures ie bt and car tax over a year so you get a more realistic picture.
This will tell you how much over you are. If you put the correct figures in and cut the groceries by 50 (maybe 100) , the mobiles by 50, cancelled sky and corrected the figures that would make things look a lot better by 250 ish pounds maybe more.
If you could sell the car and buy a cheap to insure, cheap to run, cheap to repair car that would really help you. Or cost out what it would cost on public transport.
You can definitely turn it around from here and when you have made all the cut backs you might find you are only a little short every month which you could make up by ebaying, mystery shopping, internet surveys, 2nd job, etc.
Good Luck

Thanks Dancingfairy, I'll re-post an amended SOA when I can so hopefully things will seem a little better after that - well not as hopeless at least! I'm def. going to look at the Old Style board for some food ideas too.0

i'd suggest getting your last 4 gas & elec bills, work out how much kwh you have actually used and then go to a couple of comparison sites and see if you can get it cheaper and then cancel the meters as you pay more for metered gas & elec.
Also, while checking the kwh on the bills, see if they are estimated (will have an E beside the readings) and then check you meters to see if it's been over estimated.Cats don't have owners - they have staff!!DFW Long Hauler Supporter No 1500 -
Your contact lenses sound expensive (if that is all your medical costs includes).
I have continuous wear lenses (the most expensive type) from Specsavers for £15.50 per month including aftercare and solutions. You can get lenses even cheaper on the net.somewhere between Heaven and Woolworth's0 -

This site is worth a look as they do not discriminate with whatever method of payment you are on for eg, everyone pays the same rate albeit a DD, cash or payment meter, maybe worth a look for you,0
