What kind of games are we talking?
Maybe the graphics card needs updating?

(assuming its the standard acer model) ~ choose geforce 7 series:idea:0 -
A large amount of games that were made to run with XP either do not run on Vista or run very badly.
Your options are -
Check the website for the company that made the game, they may have done an update to make it compatible with Vista
Run XP as a second OS, use it purely for running games off, see this link for details http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/install-windows-xp-on-your-pre-installed-windows-vista-computer/
Or you can run XP in a virtual machine on your desktop - see link to download and for details - http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/virtualpc/default.mspxIt is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.0 -
Try running as administrator or compatibility mode.

A quick Google indicates that the machine has onboard graphics with shared memory so chances are there's not enough available memory to run the games properly and the onboard graphics may not be up to the task under Vista. Try a new graphics card.0 -
Seems that computer has a NVIDIA® GeForce 7050 which is integrated onto the motherboard rather then being a separate dedicated graphics card.
Sorry but unless you buy yourself a better graphics card providing your computer can actually take it you wont be playing any of the latest games and indeed quite a few of the old ones from the last few years.0
