The £10.00 is well worth it, best money we have ever spent.
We have nothing but positive comments from our Turkish holidays, great place, lovely people, delicious food.
Just place a £10.00 note in each passport and hand them over.A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.
Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.

Sorry to hear you had a bad time in Bodrum.
We visited Olu Deniz and had a lovely holiday and nobody had food poisoning, including my one year old daughter who ate the local food.
We found the standards to be very clean. The bin lorry went round more frequently than at home (little boys notice these things!), and every morning the shop keepers and restaurant owners hosed down the path outside their premises. Some restaurants we visited were open and you could see into the kitchen and I saw nothing to worry me. I used to be a food microbiologist, so I'm slightly paranoid about food hygeine!
We did get some "hassle" but it was mainly jokey and friendly type banter rather than high pressure and forcing you to go into places. If you were polite and said "no thank you", we were left alone. As our faces became familiar, it was more people asking how we were and what we'd been up to, and giving tips on local attractions etc. Made some good friends out there and I'm still in touch with some on Facebook. Here I go again on my own....0 -

It wasn't so much that we had a bad time. We are the sort of travellers who will always make the best of anywhere. But some things put us off returning. Hassle from touts was one. Poor hygiene and rubbishy tourist restaurants were others. So we avoided those places and ignored even the most persistent touts. We did have some quite good food. It was a quick lunch just before leaving for the airport that actually poisoned us. The four hour coach transfer was also dreadful, but I believe that's a thing of the past now.
On the plus side, we had decent accommodation with a good pool. We were there while they were photographing the place and ended up in the brochures for the next five years! The beer was cheap and drinkable. I also remember that many bars had quiz nights for cash prizes. I was doing lots of serious quizzing at the time, so MrsS and I would be a team of two in the corner, keeping quiet, then scooping the cash at the end of the night. It paid for our food and drink for the week, money for old rope!;)0 -
and please take enough food & drink with you to the turkish airports, their prices are sky high eg £3.50 for a small coffee0

we went to marmaris this august and it was the best place ive ever been to. the waiters in our hotel were absolutely brill and where we went for breakfast we were treated like royalty.
we did get a bit of hassle in the bazzar as me and dd were constantly being asked to marry them !!!! i think theres been a law passed in the last couple of years stopping the turkish from hassling you, i dont think they can come off their property onto the street anymore.
the place was spotlessly clean, the bins and streets all around were cleared constantly, there wasnt even a fag end on the floor.
me and the kids and oh cant wait to go back again.0
