Today I sent off my application (via post) for a RBS credit card, 9months int free etc..
I was wondering how long these things usually take to go through? Any chance of getting this before xmas do you think?
Many Thanks

Chances are slim to none and slim just left the building...
Normal advise is allow 6 weeks, with Christmas it is likely to delay the process, you might just get it before Xmas but doubt it...2p off is still 2p off!0 -
Have you had a response yet? I applied in the 2nd half of October and the agreement came through for me to sign around 29 November. The reason people don't move right down inside the carriage is that there's nothing to hold onto when you're in the middle.0

hi, still nothing yet, but saying that i havent had any mail for about 4 days
so could the post.... once the agreement is sent off do they send the card asap? 0 -
Usually within 5 working days of receiving your signed agreement the card arrives. In my case I never got that far because the credit limit was not stated in the agreement and when I rang up to enquire what the limit was it was far far lower than I wanted so I withdrew my application and re-applied to Alliance & Leicester instead, who gave me a limit even in excess of what I asked for.
So understandably my opinion of RBS cards is not very high at all.
Good luck though. The reason people don't move right down inside the carriage is that there's nothing to hold onto when you're in the middle.0 -
Credit limits are useless. Start looking elsewhere for new year sales spending headroom!Ethical moneysaver0

I wouldnt hold your breath too long with the RBS. A bit differant but my son opened up a Route 15 account in branch and linked it to our existing account to speed? things up however it took FIVE weeks from signing to him getting his pin code to use his cashline card!:j0
