Help Fitting venetian blinds round bay window

Can anybody tell me how difficult it is fitting venetians round a bay window. I have fitted them to my kitchen windows ok. The bay has three windows so would i need three seperate blinds?

Yes you would need 3 seperate blinds,measure the width of each window, and i would knock off about 20mm on each size. As the gap will close,because of the angle of the window frames.

Did a bay with 5 blinds and it worked fine. Clearance on each side depends on size of the slats. Also check how far the window handles protrude as they may prevent blinds from hanging flat, to overcome this you may need to mount the blind brackets on something to allow the blind to clear the handles. If this is the case remember it affects the clearance needed between the blinds.

The best way to measure is to either draw a line out from each corner either on the sill or the ceiling, then measure how far your window handles stick out. Note that measurement on each line and measure between these marks with a steel tape. If you are ordering these via a manufacturer this would be your recess width, measure the drop as you would normally

Make sure you can get good fixings. Windows, especially bays, can be a real pain, with lintels above and often nothing of substance in the ceiling. When you haul up a Veneitan blind, you put more than twice its weight on its fixings.
