I thought they bought 2 flats in that block?RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.

I've never quite understood that - they earn a decent wedge between them, not a lot to whinge about, really....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
Aren't the Bliars in neg equity on their place in Islington?
One of their places, the one in Connaught Square is likely to be in neg eq..Negative equity is poised to claim one of its most famous victims yet. In Connaught Square, the Georgian residency of Tony and Cherie Blair, house prices are falling faster than a rat down a Grade II-listed drainpipe. Estate agents say that the Blairs – who are believed to have mortgaged themselves to the hilt to acquire their five-bedroom Bayswater home – would be lucky to get the £3.65m they paid for No 29 in 2004 were they to sell the property now.

Got to buy more property. Two expensive middle-east wars ongoing with many troops earning less than traffic wardens. Loads of cheap credit. Buy more and more and more. Buy it. Buy more. More.0 -
I think she also thought she'd have earned more herself if she hadn't been PM's wife.neverdespairgirl wrote: »I've never quite understood that - they earn a decent wedge between them, not a lot to whinge about, really.
Mind you, not packing contraception to Balmorral because she didn't want it seen by royal servants didn't help on that front :rotfl:
Especially since she revealed to the Sun that Tone was a four times a night man!0 -

Lord! I never thought I'd hear myself say this, but I almost feel sorry for her. eewww that grinning fool four times a night:eek:   :eek:0 -
You don't think it's true, do you
?
More likely it was part of the "keep Murdoch and his readers onside at all costs" strategy.
I do feel sorry for the kids, though. Imagine going into school the day that headline hit the news!0 -

That was all stuff I didn't want to know.
Imagine being one of their kids, and reading that. Urgh....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
Quite amusing that their hefty, specially negotiated discount, obtained through a dodgy geezer, has just evaporated.
Oh the shame of it all.... scrapping about for £23k in 6 years, less costs, voics, etc etc ... oh, hang on, that's a LOSS then.
pfft. Greed. That's what it was all about. Showing off and greed.0 -
Some like PN may be even more pleased to hear that the Sunday Times reports that the second flat is now on sale at £3,500 below the 2002 purchase price.
£259,000 if you're interested
.
Anyone fancy seeing how low they will go? I bet the EA gets a fair few journalist time wasters.0
