    I assume you refer to arrival? ... If so that's because you didn't eat it on the flight as the OP intends to. ;)

    I'm sorry I have to eat when my body says, not when the staff get round to bringing the cart around. Usually I take some bread or pastries with me to stop feeling faint.

    If this is another ploy to make us buy their overcharged food, I am not going to comply:mad:

    I would eat any fresh food before landing, as they do have regulations. They do have cute sniffer dogs at Atlanta airport tho:)

    I am not likely to take a liquid stew made in my slo cooker, on board tho:D
    An average day in my life:hello: :eek::mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T :o :rotfl: :rotfl: :p :eek::mad: :beer:

  • hmmm ... perhaps you can take the items on board but must consume before landng?

    Well, in my case i did actually take the fruit onto the aircraft. It was only on landing i had completely forgot i still had it. Unitil a dog started sniffing round me - I have to admit, at first i wondered if i had been stitched up with something far more sinister than my innocent Granny Smith.

    Well, assuming you are flying Delta from the UK surely the US would be where you are going?

    And yes im talking about arrivals.

    Well you can take your fruit onto the plane but can't take it with you when it's time to get off.

    On the bright side Sturll, waiting for ones baggage to appear on the carousel is mundane at the best of times, so rest assured, your pain will have been a source of enjoyed to your fellow passngers. ;)

    btw .... Did you go to the aquarium? :)

    Very true.

    No, unfortunately we didnt make the Aquarium, i had very little time in Atlanta, but did make the Coca Cola place and did find time to visit Olympic park. Where i found it extremely reassuring to find when entering a children's play ground that all adults must be accompanied by a child.
    We also briefly visited the childrens museum. But then we headed up to midtown where i had a few hours to perk up at the courtyard before business was upon me.

    Only had the day myself and opted for the aquarium and the museum. Apart from the main tank in the aquarium with the Whale Sharks, the rest is a bit too Disney to be any good, so you didn't miss much. Suprisingly enough though, I enjoyed the Coca Cola museum which I thought would be pants. :)

    Thats actually quite reassuring since i have regretted not visiting the aquarium. I agree about the Coke museum, we thoroughly enjoyed it. My wife especially enjoyed the tasting part at the end, she has even saved he free bottle to this day....... :rolleyes:

    We have encountered this before. An announcement has been put out on the plane shortly before landing regarding carrying food through immigration, and the stewardesses came round with bin bags for people to dispose of any uneaten sandwiches, fruit etc.
    Here I go again on my own....
