OK - more of an annoyance than anything else, but some advice would be appreciated.
I keep getting "No information" on various channels for both "Now" and "Next" even though the signal strength is nearly full. I've tried to reinstall the box, the software version and tried updating everything but I'm still getting the same problem.
If I flick between the "Now" and "Next" options, I eventually get the programmes with descriptions.
Anyone any ideas?

I don't know what type of receiver you have but it's likely that it is designed to download the EPG data (i.e. the list of programs for the next 7 days) at some point in the early hours every day. It sounds like it also has the facility to grab/confirm snippets of this data when you are actually viewing the guide.
Do you leave the unit powered on/on standby overnight or remove power altogether? If the later, try leaving it powered up or on standby for a night to see if that helps.
Failing that I guess it could still be reception related - some boxes are much more sensitive when it comes to signal strength than others. Have you had an aerial upgrade?
For more help & info you can try looking on the appropriate forums onavforums or digitalspy.0 -
Leave it powered up all night but on standby. It's a communal aerial (which could be the problem), but we don't have any problems with the picture which I thought would go hand-in-hand with this problem.:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:

Well , i can say that SOMETIMES , i have the exact problem.
On average , There are 3 guides (7 day , Now and Next and teletext guide)
Right , For the teletext guide it updates itself as soon as you switch it off then on again.
And for the rest , it actually updates itself at 3:00 in the morning , so if you leave it on you should be fine.
Oh yeah , my personal preference is the now and next as they are more likely to be updated and it is more informative , easier to use and easier to see.
Hope this helps.
By the way , if it doesn't please tell us the make of your freeview box

OK - the box is Goodmans, a few years old and this problem is getting worse.
Teletext is fine (if a little slow) and the "No information" problem affects both the "Now and Next" menu and the 7-day whatsit.:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:

Don't have a problem with the updates, just a lot of "No Information" on half the channels at any given time.:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:
