Hi
I installed a new external hard drive yesterday so started re-organising my Vaio.
The plan was to move all my secondary disk (D) to external, back up iTunes from primary (C) then move iTunes onto now empty secondary (D).
Did all that and changed where iTunes points to in Advanced Preferences. Didn't pick up.
Moved everything back from D to C and RESET library options. Still not pickin up anymore.
So, I now have the iTunes folder along with 4 meta-data files (iTunes Music Library, iTunes Library, iTunes Library Genius and iTunes Library Extras) at the following:
C:\Documents and Settings\My Name\My Documents\My Music\iTunes
Inside the iTunes folder at the above I have the meta-data files above plus folder iTunes Music, Album Artwork, Mobile Applications and Preivious iTunes Libraries
When I reset iTunes it points to
C:\Documents and Settings\My Name\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Music
I'm quite confused by it all now and I expect it has something to do with the 2 sets of meta-data files I appear to have acquired.
What to do now?
Thanks in advance, my headache much appreciates your help!

I just tried experimenting with shifting my iTunes folder from one drive to another (iTunes version 7).
I found that changing the music folder location under Edit->Preferences->Advanced Tab made no difference and it failed to re-import the songs automatically from the new location.
I got round this by going to File->Add Folder to Library and then selecting the iTunes folder on the new drive. It then found all my songs (they appeared under Library under Music).
Hope that helps
