They all do the same job. So just use the one which works out cheapest.

You are not obliged to stick with a particular outfit.0 -
Try https://www.iii.co.uk only a tenner per trade. Found them really good0

only downside on iii.co.uk is the need to transfer the money up front, some others just debit the amount for the purchaseEx forum ambassador

^^ Selftrade does the same but offer a bonus of 50 pounds for your first trade.
Compushare let you set a free sell order executed on price.
Halifax will setup tradeplans which sell at various prices, the cost is paid up front but deducted from your total dealing price anyway 11.95 for them0 -
There is an article here on the site about providers.
Selftrade are pretty popular, and seem to have good prices. I don't like their Privacy Policy though, so I use Halifax, which generally I'm happy with.0 -

You're getting way ahead of yourself. Before you even start looking for brokers you need to do some learning. Search this forum for my posts as I've posted explanations on what to do several times. In a nutshell buy a book called "The Naked Trader 2" by Robbie Burns - it will give you all the basic information you need to get started.Mmmm, credit crunch. Tasty.0 -
I have mine held in trust by The Share Centre. The prices for trading are very reasonable £2.50 & £7.50 for batch share deals and an administration fee of £2.98 per quarter.0
