    i hope that you are right i get £547.50 basic element,but i also get ctc for my other 2 children,but don't get wtc so hopefully someone can answer this for us

    just to let you know that i get the £547.50 family element, ctc plus a little wtc, i sent my form tuesday and got a letter back this morning saying that i can have the £500 and it will be in my bank on monday.

    Hi, I am in process of sending my form off to the Grant office. As far as I can see I eligible for it. Do I have send of my CTC award with the Grant forms?

    no you dont i guess this is why they ask you for you ni number on the form so they can check all this out them selves.

    No just tick the box to say you get it and then they look it up on line to confirm it (they have access to view the system)

    Social Fund will check Tax Credits view only for something called ctc2.

    and don't forget that the CTC awards you're looking at may still be based on your income last year. If you worked all last year and are now on Maternity Leave then phone Tax Credits with a new estimated income for the year (discounting the first £100/week for any period you get SMP or Statutory Adoption Pay or your OH (if it's a joint CTC claim) gets Statutory Paternity Pay (if you get SMP and SPP at the same time -- most probable -- then it's £100 off each!)

    If your income has dropped, then they will recalculate your Tax Credit award immediately -- and you may find you're now entitled to this extra grant :)
