Responsibility?

Help needed!

If a car is parked in a private car park where there are no signs saying 'park at your own risk', are you responsible for damage to a vehicle that is authorised to park there?

If you damaged the car then yes

The signs maybe get the owners out of liability but anyone who damages someone elses property is legally liable
  • A car was damaged but nobody knows who hit it, would the owners of the car park be responsible if no signs up?

Then the owner of the car needs to claim off their insurance or take the hit

And unlikely, although im sure some ambulance chasing lawyer would try
