Backing up to CD & "extra information"

I have just backed up to R/W CD my C & D drives, and whilst it was writing I got a lot of pop ups like the one below as different files/Word docs came up, now I cannot think what the "extra information" could be, as far as I know there is no "extra information". Have tried one of the files that gave that pop up and there appears to be no difference between the two files, i.e. the original and the copy!
So what does that pop up actually mean?
Thanks
Don't know why the post is so wide!

Thumbs.db isn't an important file anyway, so ignore that. What other files is it mentioning?Everybody is equal; However some are more equal than others.0

There were quite a few, most, if not all, being Word docs, either on there own or multiples in a folder, I can't remember them now and I have got them all on a CD now, I did check a couple and could find nothing different, but it does say, " that might be lost", so maybe it didn't lose anything, but I would still like to know why it would suggest that something "might be lost" or what the "extra information attached" could be when I am basically only copying?
The docs are Word docs that I have saved so "thumbs" or not, I preferably don't want to "lose" anything from them, bearing in mind that I may not know what has been "lost".Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -
You get the message because you are copying a file with Alternate Data Streams (ADS) from a file system (NTFS) that supports ADS to one that doesn't (CDFS).
Word uses ADS to store summary info about the file such as "Title", "Author", etc. - and you can view this data without having to open the file - under Properties, Summary, Advanced.
Most people probably aren't aware of its existence, so losing it when copying to a CD isn't much of an issue unless you intend to actually use it...0
