scottish power weekly standing charge

Hi new to the forum but would welcome some advice, this week i noticed that on my pre payment meter my weekly standing charge is set at £2.45 per week, on looking on the scottish power web site it states that based on my post code it should be collected at the rate of £1.09 pence per week so i phoned SP customer services it was confirmed that indeed it should be set at the lower rate and not the £2.45, i was informed that the meter needed changing as "these meters are not very reliable" and all need replacing and that there was a on going program to replace them, they were suprised to hear that i had not already recieved a letter about a replacement meter believe me so was i, when i called at my sons house later that day and discovered that hes meter was also set to collect £2.45 per week !!
what i would like to know is how do i find out how long my meter has been set to collect this incorrect amount ?
