I think it's more like 10 working days from the time the supplier notifies the customer of the price increase.

Suppliers have 65 working days from the date they increase prices to notify their customers of that increase.

Hmmm...they did that to me too about 6 months ago!

I wonder how much they have stolen from others who have objected to rate rises but not got the old prices?

Don't let them fob you off with ex-gratia payments in the hope you'll accept them.

How is it fobbing you off if they give you the difference back as a payment on your account? The amount you pay for the energy is the same regardless of a price increase or not, as the difference would be given back to you.

    You misunderstood.

They originally tried to fob me off by applying an uncalculated ex-gratia discount which was significantly less than the amount extra they had over-charged me by wrongly applying the increased rates in the first instance.

I only got that after I complained about the bill they originally sent charging me the increased rates despite having given them written notice of my intention to switch suppliers in line with their own terms & conditions.

I only managed to get the bill calculated correctly by contacting Eon's MD, Mr Graham Bartlett at the registered address.
