Just within the last few weeks. We’ve got a meter, that we put in as we use and we are going through quite a lot.

Presumably part of your payments are being used to pay off a debt. You need to find out how to read your particular type of meter by cycling though the various displays by pressing the button. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

Learn how to read your meter then and find out how much you are paying per kWh and how many units your are actually using. Energy prices have gone up!

Presumably you know how much you pay per kwh? Why not ring and ask how much you're paying so you can see if it's gone up and by how much.0

If you dont put any money in it you dont have any electric, that doesnt mean you dont have to pay the standing charge, so if the meter has been left with no credit you would still be building up debt because the standing charge hasnt been paid.
You may well find that since the latest price rise your standing charge has shot up (along with the price per KwH)Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -
Perhaps it's due to the recent price increases? You may feell like you are using alot more than you used to.0
