Skype driving me nuts

Even when I dont have skype open, a pop up box keeps telling me that skype is attempting to use a programme I have open ( usually Ebay). It doesn't matter how many times I choose "dont allow", or tick the box that says" dont show me this warning again", it keeps popping up sometimes every time I click on the page. I dont really want to alter my security settings, so how can I stop this annoying message.

Sounds like you possibly have the Skype "callto" feature ticked, open Skype then Tools/Advanced and untick "Use Skype to call callto: links on the web" then click Save.
Also, in Internet Explorer: Tools/Manage Add Ons and see if Skype is enabled as a browser extension in that list of Add Ons currently loaded - and if so click it and disable.0 -
Thanks Dan, I've done all that, but its not made any difference. It only happens with Ebay, so I'm wondering if it is a setting with that site rather than Skype.:smileyhea A SMILE COSTS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING0
