02 Takeover Help???

O2 have offered me £2 per share to sell my shares to Telefonica for the takeover, should I or hold out for another offer from Telefonica?

It's up to you what you want to do but our vote is pretty meaning less as the big boys votes will be the one that count - I expet it to go through so it's probable be a case of whether to take the cash or loan notes

I got the acceptance form from them as well, but I don't think you have a choice.

I think that if 75% or more of existing shareholders (principally the institutional shareholders) have decided to sell, small shareholders HAVE to sell at that price.

You could try to vote "no" but is there a section for that on the stuff they sent you?

Unless another buyer enters the field, and that is highly unlikely at this stage, there wont be another offer from Telefonica.
The institutions are going for it, so the result is a foregone conclussion.
Your CGT position will determine whether to go for immediate cash or the alternative loan note.
As these shares were concidered junk after they demerged from BT, the offer looks attractive to me. I've gone for it.
