Try this link on Backing up Outlook Express. http://www.iopus.com/guides/oe-backup.htm Or Google search - http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=outlook+express+backup&meta=.
You will need something to transfer the files from PC to PC, like a USB Flash Drive or CD. (It may fit on a Floppy, depending on the size, although most computers are built without floppy drives these days)
There is also the Files and Settings Transfer Wizard in XP that backups lots more than just E-mails. http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&safe=active&q=files+and+settings+transfer+wizard&meta=

A cost free method would be to open a Google gmail account, forward the emails on your old pc to it and then forward whichever ones you want on your new pc from the gmail account. You can also set up your new pc's email account to forward all emails to your gmail account automatically. I've found my gmail account invaluable as a virtual file for all my emails. I'm sure there's a thread on how to obtain a gmail account in one of the forums.0

See How to back up and recover Outlook Express data.
If you're just transferring emails you want the sections Copy Mail Files to a Backup Folder (and then to CD, USB pen drive etc for transfer to your new PC) and Import Messages from the Backup Folder.0 -
rather than importing messages just copy the .dbx files onto the new machine and point your store folder to where you've copied them to.0

If you do that you'll lose existing emails in the new OE. It's easy to get round this, however it's simpler and safer to do an Import which will merge your old and new OE emails.scheming_gypsy wrote:rather than importing messages just copy the .dbx files onto the new machine and point your store folder to where you've copied them to.0 -
Very true, i was thinking it's a brand new out of the box PC that's not been used yet.0
