Selling Vouchers on Ebay-Advice Please

Hi, I have never sold anything on ebay in the past hence i ask for advice.
I had my bag stolen a few weeks ago in a street robbery and it had in it my laptop, camera and mp3 player. Thankfully i was insured. I went out and replaced the products straight away as i couldnt wait for the insurence company (mastercare) to process my application.
Anyway all has now been settled and ive been told i should be receiving pcworld/dixons vouchers of the value of nearly £2300 which i quickly neefd to sell so that i can pay for the goods a bought to replace the stolen ones.
So how should i go about it? Will there be a market for such an iten and should i sell it all in one go (ie the full £2000+) or should i split it up and sell in smaller values??
Thanks in advance for all advise
Ragards
PS- i appreciate i wont get the full value for the item and in this respect i dont mind say losing 10% from the total valule of the vouchers

Hi
Why not split them into either £100 or £200 lots. Assuming they arrive in smaller denominations.
You might be best trying a dutch auction of say 20 x £100 or 10 x £200.
That way people can decide what size suits them.
Just one small point. Would an e-bay buyer be buying from Dixons?
Would people that use this forum buy frm Dixons?
In both cases only when there is a price boo boo or a huge discount I would have thought.
Maybe time to buy lots of electrical Xmas pressies.
Can you not offer them at work or to people you know? That way you should minimise the discount to value.
Hope these thoughts help0 -
Also don't forget to factor in costs of selling on ebay. Even if you are hoping for say £90 for a £100 voucher your Final value fees on £90 will be substantial as will your paypal charges. You will also have to send the vouchers out insured and signed for as normal 'insurance' based on a proof of posting form won't be sufficient in case of loss.
The vouchers are just like cash so the only way to post them will be by special delivery as recorded won't cover a claim for cash or valuable items. Registered and insured up to £250 will cost £3.75 to post and cover up to £1000 will cost £4.20.
With all of these costs and charges you are eating away at your money back, so do as others have suggested and try and sell them to colleagues or friends first.

Sorry to hear of the terrible thing that happened to you.

I have had a quick look and can't see any dixons or pc world vouchers anywhere! You could ask around friends nd family if they are buying anything from these places and give them the vouchers in return for money?! otherwise could you not buy products at reduced prices and sell them on ebay to make money back? - I suppose this wouldn't work if you need to get rid of them quickly! :-/ couldn't you speak to the people at your insurance company, explain the situation and see if they can exchange the vouchers for either cash or other vouchers relevant to you!?
