Dont waste any time or money using MCOL - they will take your money and do nothing.
I have a claim for over £1000 back in 2014. Their web site is worse than useless, no one will ever respond to your queries, and forget about speaking to a human being as no one will know anything or they will pass you to another office that knows even less. The county court bailiff at Burnley County Court was totally useless and unprofessional - "No one answered the door so I left a calling card....". And she accused my wife of having a personal vendetta against the man who stole money from her....
MCOL is a shining example of the failure of eGovernment and a massive failure of customer care.0 -
MCOL certainly isn't as good as issuing a claim in the County Court and attaching supporting docs - but even that is sadly not very efficient in terms of waiting times etc. If the Defendant fails to respond, you can request that Judgment in default be entered. If defended it will go to a Small Claim [disposal if Fast Track] final hearing. You can then enforce any Judgment. Bailiffs aren't as god - and don't have the powers - of a High Court Enforcement Officer so best using the latter if you can. MCOL was designed for very small Small Claims. Please be polite to OPs and remember this is a site for Claimants and Appellants to seek redress against their bank, ex-boss or retailer. If they wanted morality or the view of the IoD or Bank they'd ask them.0
