Ford and GM in big trouble!
Reports coming from America that Ford and GM both only have about a year's funding left and will be bankrupt if they don't turn things around. Ford's share price has nearly fallen through the floor and GM isn't doing much better. Both were in trouble before the credit crunch.

Ford are lucky in that their european divisions are pretty profitable. If anyone will fold its likely to be Chrysler first (who are trying to merge with GM)0

im just back from the states and GM are constantly advertising on tv, they are offering thier "employee discount" to everyone across the whole GM range.
the price of a car in the u.s is already dirt cheap compared to here,so with extra discounts like this it makes a realistic alternative to import a car and pay a bit extra on the insurance over here.
you could buy a brand new ford mustang GT for $22,000, which is about £13,000 here. or a nissan titan massive pick up for $19,000 which is less than £11,500....work permit granted!0 -
