Sorry to drag this up but I bought this Mp3s player form 7dayshop as a birthday present for my boyfriend (along with a 512mb SD card). We tried to set up some tracks on it tonight but each time I try to move any files to the drive it keeps saying failed because the drive is right protected. We've made sure the SD disc is unlocked na that the button on thw MP3 player is unlocked but it's always the same.
Is there something obvious I'm missing, or does it sound like a fault? Any help gratefully received here on in PM. Thanks so much!0 -
You might want to check that the SD card's write protect slider is on protect.
Take the card out and click the slider to its other position (write).
That should do it! :j

I had problems with both of the mp3 players. On one, the screen doesn't work, so you can't see what's bein played. The other one jus didn't come on. Loads of places sell this crappy thing with their own logo on it. Andd worst thing is the SD card pokes its head it out even when it's fully in.0

I've had one of these for a while - it's great for the money. If you can get a USB card reader thingy, it might be easer to pop the tracks straight onto the SD card and then put the card in the player. Thats what I do.
Remember there is a HOLD button on the side which locks the player. I don't suppose this is set on yours is it?0 -

I'd just emailed to enquire about the same thing when my order arrived. Ordered 2/3 delivered 9/3.
:rotfl: Delighted with my player - got 130 tracks onto a 512 mb card. Shuffle play, sound, headphones, ease of use all v impressive for such a budget player. I'm so enthusiastic I think friends and family might be receiving them as presents! Thanks again to OP. :T0 -
Thinking about ordering, will let you know what happens if i do.0
