have just done so. Have no idea what was written about him though, but I assume it was to do with the Icesave matter?
  • I love this site. Nothing else can compare with the good work done by Martin. Forget the negative comments. MSE Rules OK
  • yes he was targeted as some sort of 'he made me do it' guy...as if people arnt aware that their own decision is just that! As always Martin clearly stated to pros and cons of the situation a while ago,and now with all that is happening it appears some people are BLAMING this website for the information it was giving at the time!!!
small minded non thinkers.....thats what i say! MSE for president, lol.

Outrageous!! I use this site all the time and it has provided me with so much excellent advice and saved me a lot of time and money. However, I know that the responsibility for my finances stops with me and no-one else is responsible for my financial decisions, good or bad. How absurd that anyone would suggest a website 'made them do it'. Keep up the good work Martin!!
  • Hi just noticed this and would like to thank Martin for this wonderful site. I have saved a lot of money due to all the tips etc and think it is terrific. Thank you Martin so much:money:

The thing is, Martin didn't 'make them do it' it was the greed in them that 'made them do it'. The thought of a few extra offshore pounds in their pockets blew up in their faces, no sympathy from me........

What if the Hokey Pokey really is what it's all about !!!
  • Anyone see the Channel 4 interview the other night? It was awful. Not balanced at all. Jon Snow was very aggressive, kept on asking Martin about his role in directing folk to Icelandic banks. He was like a dog with a bone, just wouldn't let it go and came across as blaming Martin for people's troubles. Icing on the cake was the man who had invested in an Icelandic bank, who due to a disability, was unable to argue his case properly for Martin to argue back. Then they ran out of time! Think Martin said that the guy didn't even use MSE! Total shambles. I had previously thought C4 were a more heavyweight news provider. Not any more.

Because of this site, I am now debt free.

    Thank you!
  • I just love this site I have found out many useful things on it and all thanks to Martin's forward thinking in starting it. I especially love the N.Ireland part of the site where we can all as a community forward our thoughts and ideas peculiar to our little part of the world. Three cheers for Martin and I would agree the responsibility of where you place your money is yours and yours alone, all anyone including Martin can do is to give advise at the time. HE DOESN'T HAVE A CRYSTAL BALL, you know the old saying "can please some of the people some of the time" etc etc. Keep up the good work Martin you are greatly appreciated by the greater majority of people.
