Hi,
Does anyone know the best way to do this?
I dont have a stereo in my car to directly attach my ipod, I had a fm transmitter(it was only cheap) but it was constantly making a buzzing sound, should I buy a more expensive new one? Can anyone reccomend one or put me in the right direction of some reviews.
Thanks.

I can recommend the Griffin iTrip transmitter. I picked one up from Tesco for £24.99 a while back. Both OH and I have these and I have found them the most stable - tuned in at 87.9.

This is a bit confusing, I want one ideally that charges the ipod when im driving, how come this is more expensive?

You'll get the best sound quality by using a headunit that either has a line in (also known as an Aux in - a lot of recent units already have that) combined with something like a Sendstation Pocketdock or a headunit that has "proper" iPod control.
A cheaper, better sounding alternative is supposed to be the Harman Kardon drive+play, which is another FM modulator but it hooks directly into the antenna connectors so you're not relying on the car's aerial to pick up the signal from your transmitter. These seem to available quite cheaply on the bay these days.0 -

The second one allows you to charge at the same time. I use the first one, but it has a socket which allows charging through it, although the cable isn't included. I just happen to have one already for my satnav. Not sure what the connector is called it uses - sorry!
I haven't used the one in the other link.
