List of banks and their subsidiaries

Where can I get a listing of who owns what bank and whether the are fully FSCS covered? i've got money inSainsburys but I don' tknow if there is a major bank doing the work in the background. Simialr for some other accoutns I have.

See the link to 'Are your savings safe' guide on this very page! There's a table there. I've seen other articles on the subject elsewhere but they don't have as much detail.
Sainsburys Bank is a join venture with HBOS but it is separately registered so it would count as a separate bank if something went wrong.0 -
