Housing Benefit question

Hi
We currently claim housing benefit and have just took in the requested payslips.
In the past when we took in partners wage slips it has his bonus between £200 - £300 pounds on it. This time we took in one without the bonus which reflects partners normal monthly wage. Now we have got a bit more benefit this time.
Was wondering if it was worth taking previous wage slips down to show them and seeing if we could get it backdated?
The bonuses are declared to tax credits.
any advice gratefully recieved

I would always ask about backdating. Don't ask...don't get. What's the worst that could happen?...They say 'no'.
I would suggest you read this article from the Citizens Advice Bureau it explains the backdating system:

Better still go down to your local CAB and ask them for help.Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama0
