Muppets! If it is a card or loan.
I know you have no sympathy for people who synally try to avoid debts BH, but I have no sympathy for a company that is prepared to lie to it's customers in that fashion?

Hello again...
I'm still having trouble with Cabot financial. I was wondering if I scan in the latest information they have sent me, would somebody be able to advise me further?
They say they sent a copy of the Credit Agreement, I have never received this, they have included a photocopy of my original application form from the original lender (Barclaycard). I do not have a scanner at home but I can scan the documents in at work tomorrow (Wednesday).
Thank you to everyone for their help so far....0 -
Good Afternoon everyone. Sorry I couldn't upload the document earlier but I was out of the office ill.
I received a response from Cabot, saying what they sent is the CCA and I need to sort out a repayment plan.
Please can someone tell me if what they sent is in fact correct? They also sent a letter with this years date on saying it was representative of 2006? Can anyone explain that too?
Sorry for all the questions. I'm getting tired of the sleepless nights these people manage to give me
Thank you everyone for all your help!
Will try uploading the document now0 -
can anyone tell me how to attach a document? I looked in the FAQ and talked about a "manage attachments" link.... I cannot seem to find it0

If you are trying to attach a link to a scan you have saved, try uploading the image to http://imageshack.us/ and then copy the link to your reply here. Click 'Go Advanced' to check that you can view the document okay. Don't forget to blank out any personal detail or account numbers.

Thanks George for the directions on attaching a document!
The credit card was taken out in 1996
If someone has the time could they look over the paperwork Cabot sent and let me know their thoughts?
1 - the "CCA" looks like an application form
2 - how can they send a letter "representative" of 1996 with this years date
3 - there is no way they have ever sent me this information before
Thank you everyone!!!!!

That really hurt!!
I was laughing so hard at what they call a copy of a credit agreement that i fell off my chair.
A credit agreement must have a note of the credit limit, APR and repayment details as well as be signed (although the signature can be omitted). But it must also be fully legible. I couldn't see anything in that document they supplied. The representation letters you can basically ignore as these are not part of the CCA. The appear to have supplied the T&C, but again this is not part of the CCA. The CCA is a document you will have signed and i'm pretty sure it would contain more detail that is represented by that smudge they sent you. As you say it is more likely that this is an application form.
If 12+2 working days have passed, send the 12+2 day letter. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91
