Tear the letters into strips and hang them from a nail in the bathroom......now that's moneysaving! And who would read them after that?

i put them in a bucket with water and wallpaper paste, then use the resulting papier mache to make stuff....0

I've a boxer dog and he often shreds post. Mind you it would be nice to read the letters first.0

I had a more expensive cross shredding one but constant problems with it - so eventually dumped it and went for a cheapy simple one from Argos which has lasted literally one day and choked constantly after using 5 minutes - they actually offered me insurance with the purchase which I declined - it seems you cant win with these things - anyone recommend any? or alternatives to shredders

I hope you took it back to Argos.
We have a very cheap shredder I picked up in Tesco's (I think), the only time I have any trouble with it is when my OH uses it!!
If I need to get rid of bulk I burn it too, but soaking and composting works quite well too, especially if you need to dry out your compost bin, or alternatively add water to it!!What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

As long as you have matches, it will work

i've seen these in the Lakeland's catalogue for a similar price. i've been meaning to get this for myself as it seems so much quicker than saving all the sheets of paper, envelopes and feeding it into the shredder. Just thought it'd be best to see this in person and buy it direct from one of Lakeland stores as it'll save on delivery costs..http://www.juststamps.org/page13.html
